I was just reading a website about shyness..

Somewhere in there, there's a little quote from a newsgroup post about how shy people (guys in particular) tend to think that just approaching someone of the opposite sex is tantamount to a marriage proposal or asking them out.

I only mention it, because I tend to think that way sometimes, and it never even occurred to me how limiting a belief that is.
