Catch Up [1013.1999]

Today - at least a big part of today - is my day for catching up with people. Answering that huge stack of emails, making phone calls, etc.

Monday morning, I sat down with my Palm Pilot, and scheduled out all the "First Things" I wanted to accomplish this week, while still leaving time to play and have fun. It seems to be a good system, because even though I'm not working on all of my goals every day, I know I've made time for each sometime in the week, and so everything seems a lot more manageable. Plus, the time I do spend comes in bigger chunks and I feel a lot more focused.

One item on the list today: set up an Atlanta-NLP mailing list, and possibly a web page. I went to one of the Atlanta NLP study groups last night. It was fun, even if only three people showed up (there have been as many as 15-20 in the past, if I recall..) It made me remember some of the value that comes in sharing time with people with common interests, and kind of makes me want to further develop my Atlanta portal idea...
